Sensei Steve Blears – Chief Instructor & Senior Grading Officer
Steve has been a club instructor for the over 15 years and is a 4th Dan Black belt.
Steve is married with three children and is a fully qualified and practicing Paramedic.
Sensei Lee Compton - Honorary Chief Sensei
Lee is the club's Honorary Chief Sensei, he is also a guest instructor and one of our senior grading officers. Lee is the founder of No Limits Mixed Martial Arts. Holding a Level 2 qualification in Sports Coaching, Lee's background is in Karate, Freestyle Kick Boxing, Thai Boxing, Judo, Jui Jitsu, Silat, wrestling and many more styles.
Senpai Bradley Stubbs - Assistant Instructor
Bradley Stubbs joined the club at the age of 7 and achieved his 2nd Dan Black belt at the age of 16.
Bradley has assisted Steve for three years whilst also developing his skills outside the club in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
Senpai Matthew Campbell - Assistant Instructor
Matthew holds both a 2nd Dan in Karate and a 1st Dan in Karate Jitsu
Senpai Tony Hutchinson - Assistant Instructor
Tony holds a 1st Dan in Karate Jitsu and has attended many external seminars and courses.
Sensei Pete Morrison – Guest Instructor & Grading Officer
Pete Morrison is a 1st Dan, qualified martial arts instructor with 16 years experience in Karate, Ju Jitsu, weapons training, street self-defence and boxing.
Peter is also qualified in First Aid.
Sensei Andy Wilshaw – Director of NTK Martial Arts & Chief Grading Officer
Andy is the Director of our association and is a full time International Martial Arts Instructor with over 30 years training. Andy currently holds a 7th Dan in Ju Jitsu, 2nd Dan in Karate, 1st Dan in Judo and 1st Dan in Kobudo. Andy overseas Kyu and Dan grading sessions to ensure a consistent standard is achieved by all students across all affiliated clubs.
Sensei Mark Price - Club Founder
Mark started practicing martial arts (Karate) over 30 years ago at the age of 12.
Over the years he has practiced many forms including, JuJitsu, Fu-Jow-Pai, Muay Thai, Tai Chi, Jeet Kune Do, small circle JuJitsu as well as Kyusho Karate. Mark holds a 3rd degree black belt in Fu-Jow-Pai and a 5th Dan in combined martial arts (Karate/JuJitsu/Budo).
It was this exposure to many styles and techniques that led Mark to form HKJ Combined Martial Arts where he applied the most effective techniques from all these disciplines into the syllabus that we teach today.
