NTK Martial Arts – Association Rules & Code of Conduct

  1. The Sensei’s or Instructors command must be observed at all times.
  2. There will be no smoking in the Dojo or any other unseemly behaviour.
  3. Outdoor shoes will not be worn in the Dojo.
  4. No pupil will join or leave the class while the session is in progress without the Instructors permission.
  5. Instruction will only take place under the supervision of a registered coach.
  6. No member will abuse or misuse their knowledge of the Martial Arts.
  7. Martial Arts methods will not be demonstrated outside the Dojo to any person not authorised to receive them.
  8. Strangle or sleeper holds must never be practised except under the direct supervision of an Instructor.
  9. Kyu Gradings will be held under the Instructor or his delegate.
  10. Dan Gradings will be held under the Technical Committee and under the supervision of the style leader or his delegate.
  11. If a member suffers injury prior to a session this must be reported to the Instructor. Injuries received during the session must be reported immediately to the Coach in charge and no training will be undertaken against medical approval.
  12. Violation of any of these rules renders a member liable for expulsion from the association.
  13. The Association will terminate the membership of any person they believe unsuitable for Martial Arts training.
  14. All members should hold a current NTK licence and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the NTK.
  15. The Club will not be held responsible for any losses personal, articles or otherwise.
  16. All members understand and accept that participation in Martial Arts training may involve a risk of injury.
  17. Any Student who is reported to have misused their knowledge of Ju Jitsu may be suspended or expelled from the Club at the Instructors discretion.
  18. Any Student causing injury during a Grading, serious enough to prevent their partner/opponent from completing their Grading, will be deemed to have not shown proper control and will fail their own Grading.
  19. Any Student/Instructor found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst attending a class will have their licence rescinded.
